Where to Be This Christmas and New Year

Where to soak up Christmas and New Year’s vibes this season

Where to Be This Christmas and New Year

Egypt is sparkling with holiday spirit this season, where there’s a little something for everyone this season. From festive lights and playful Christmas corners to nights filled with music, laughter, and dancing, the city and beyond invite you to celebrate the end of the year in style and start the new one on just the right note.

PRE-2026 FESTIVITIES

The festive season in Egypt kicks off with a little magic at Palm Hills and Hyde Park. Christmas at The Hills invites you to wander among glowing installations and playful corners, soaking up the lights, the surprises, and the holiday spirit without any rush. The 5th edition of Christmas Town is back at Hyde Out filled with all Christmas cheer, festivities, activities, and even a theatre to watch the AFCON Cup. For music lovers, Christmas Day brings Tul8te to El Arena in El Malahy, setting the tone with a lively live show that’s all about energy and good vibes.

A couple of days later, on December 26, Jingo featuring Jamek Ortega turns up the heat at Cairo Jazz Club with afro-melodic rhythms and deep grooves giving you a night for moving your feet. For anyone who loves nostalgia, Taxi El Sahra and Disco Arabesquo offer the perfect countdown rehearsals, with 90s hits and Arabic classics filling the dance floor before the final days of the year.

When December 31 arrives, the big nights take over. Nicole Moudaber brings a techno farewell to Le Lac du Caire, while X-Häus in the New Administrative Capital turns into an immersive soundscape for a night of music and movement. Nearby the New Capital Countdown Festival at Capital Arena will be hosting an all day celebration with live performances by Tamer Hosny, Elissa, and Tamer Ashour.

Meanwhile Somabay kicks off the celebrations with the SNF Wyte Beach Party at Wyte Soma Beach Club, bringing daytime beats from Danielo, Camet, and Aridi on New Year’s eve. As evening falls, the headline New Year’s Eve countdown, El Sahra byGanza, lights up The Theater at the Marina with singer Hakim, bellydancer Vlada, LaToya Live, and DJ George Gehad, while a parallel rooftop celebration by Cairo Jazz Club at Sobar is giving you open-air views over the marina to catch the fireworks.

THE EVENTS STARTING OFF THE NEW YEAR

As the calendar flips, the pace softens but the excitement remains.  The festivities continue on January 1 with the SNF Barbouni Beach Party along Barbouni’s shoreline, followed by the HumanFigures Basement Party at The Basement.
