Ramadan is a time for more than just watching shows and indulging in delicious dishes like malfoufa and madlou2a; it’s also when ads take center stage. Just yesterday, a slew of commercials streamed on our screens right after our final bites of iftar. Some really resonated with us, leaving a lasting impression. But something felt off. We couldn’t put our finger on it—until it was nearly suhoor, and we realized Amr Diab’s signature jingle hadn’t made its familiar appearance yet. His absence this year is truly felt.
