Starting the year off strong, January is kicking off 2026 with a packed watch lineup and it’s not something you would want to miss. The lineup includes historical dramas, suspenseful thrillers to rom-coms, fantasy spinoffs, and laugh out loud comedies, so no mood or genre is left out.
Marcello Hernández: American Boy (Netflix, January 7)

The famous SNL comedy member Marcello Hernández is going to take center stage in his own Netflix stand up comedy special. We can already guarantee that its going to deliver laughs due to his wit with stories rooted in his identity, culture, and everyday contradictions. American Boy will be about blending his own personal accounts with his usual humor.
En Ghab El Kot (In cinemas, January 8)

The movie will be starring Asser Yassine and Asmaa Galal where the narrative mixes romantic comedy with light suspense, in a story built on mistaken identity. Zein (Asser Yassine), a quiet art history professor, is confused for a famous thief known as “The Cat.” Things spiral when his fiancée Hend (Asmaa Galal) is assigned to restore a valuable painting the real thief plans to steal.
His & Hers (Netflix, January 8)

Based on Alice Feeney’s bestselling novel, His & Hers is a gripping murder mystery about an estranged couple. One is a detective, the other a journalist, and both are chasing the same story in their hometown of Dahlonega, Georgia. As the investigation unfolds, so do long buried secrets. This is a show that’ll have you at the edge of your seat, theres tension, shifting perspectives, and plenty of twists.
People We Meet on Vacation (Netflix, January 9)

The era of the Wattpad girlies is coming back with this romantic comedy adaptation. The story follows two very different people who meet once a year while traveling together. What starts as an easy friendship slowly becomes something more, until one vacation forces them to face their feelings. It’s a comfort watch with just enough tension to keep things interesting.
Le’ba W Qalabt Begad (WATCH IT, January 10)

One of the most anticipated Egyptian series, which translates to “It was a game, then it got serious” is using the popularity of Roblox as the base for a social thriller. The story follows a group of children who spend much of their time inside a virtual gaming platform inspired by Roblox, where what begins as fun and games slowly escalates into psychological manipulation and real world danger. As the line between the digital world and reality collapses, families are pulled into a crisis they never saw coming.
Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials (Netflix, January 15)

If you ever watched any of the Agatha Christie film series you know you’re in for a whirlwind. This limited series is set in a glamorous country house party where a seemingly harmless practical joke turns deadly, it’s up to the unlikely sleuth Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent to uncover the truth. As secrets unravel and danger escalates, Seven Dials reinvents the classic country-house mystery for a new generation.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (HBO Max, January 18)

HBO returns to the world of Game Of Thrones but this time it’s set decades before it. This spinoff follows Ser Duncan, a humble and honorable former squire, as he tries to make his mark in Westeros. After the death of his mentor, Dunk sets out to prove himself as a true knight, traveling the realm and facing a series of challenges that test his courage, wit, and moral compass where he attempts to compete in a prestigious jousting tournament to earn recognition, respect, and a place among the great knights of the age.
Steal (Amazon Prime Video, January 21)

A crime thriller is gracing our screens starring Sophie Turner with Steal. The six-episode series follows Zara (Sophie Turner), an ordinary office worker who finds herself trapped inside a massive pension fund robbery that threatens billions. When she and her friend Luke (Archie Madekwe) are forced to assist a group of criminals, survival and complicity becomes a blur.
Free Bert (Netflix, January 22)

Arriving towards the end of the month, comedian Bert Kreischer is trading the stage for a scripted Netflix comedy series inspired by a fictionalized version of his persona. Known as the ultimate shirtless party legend, Bert’s world is turned upside down when his daughters enroll in an elite Beverly Hills private school and suddenly, he’s asked to put on a shirt and clean up his image. As the family becomes social outcasts, Bert attempts the impossible: fitting in.
Wonder Man (Disney+, January 27)

Marvel’s latest series puts the spotlight on Hollywood itself. Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, an actor trying to navigate fame, failure, and superheroes. Described as a love letter to filmmaking, the show also brings back familiar faces, including Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery.
Bridgerton – Season 4 (Part 1) (Netflix, January 29)

The ton is back. Bridgerton returns with a new love story, this time focusing on Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek. Their romance begins at Lady Bridgerton’s Masquerade Ball before taking a very different turn. The first four episodes drop at the end of January, with the rest arriving in February; so yes, expect another cliffhanger.
