Things Are Only Getting Weirder As Wednesday Returns To Nevermore

The official trailer for Season 2 is here, and yes — it’s as dark, kooky, and spine-tingling as you'd expect

wednesday

The wait is nearly over. Wednesday Season 2 is officially on its way to Netflix — and this time, it’s arriving in two parts. Part 1 drops on August 6, 2025, with episodes 201–204, followed by Part 2 on September 3, 2025, with episodes 205–208.

Jenna Ortega reprises her role as the iconic Wednesday Addams, returning to the eerie halls of Nevermore Academy — where the drama, danger, and supernatural mystery have only intensified. Season 2 promises more of the show’s deliciously gothic tone, elevated with new enemies, strange alliances, and a shadowy puzzle that threatens to upend everything.

In this chilling new chapter, Wednesday must face an escalating tangle of personal relationships and powerful threats. Between dodging her complicated family, clashing with old rivals, and attempting to let friends in (without actually saying she cares), our beloved anti-heroine has her hands full.

But that’s not all. A fresh supernatural mystery casts a long shadow over Nevermore, plunging Wednesday into a dark investigation that tests her wit, nerve, and iconic deadpan charm.

The creators of the hit first season, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, return as showrunners, writers, and executive producers. Tim Burton — who directed some of Season 1’s most visually striking episodes — is back in the director’s chair for episodes 201, 204, 207, and 208, while also serving as executive producer.

Joining them behind the scenes are Paco Cabezas (episodes 202, 203) and Angela Robinson (episodes 205, 206). The extensive executive producing team includes Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Meredith Averill, Karen Richards, Gail Berman, Jonathan Glickman, Tommy Harper, Kayla Alpert, and Kevin Miserocchi.

Jenna Ortega returns as the deliciously deadpan Wednesday Addams, joined once again by Emma Myers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, and Moosa Mostafa. New and returning faces include Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, and Hunter Doohan. Season 2 also features a lineup of scene-stealing guest stars such as Jamie McShane, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suatamo, Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, and Frances O’Connor. And in a truly unexpected twist, Part 2 will welcome none other than Lady Gaga to the fold.

READY FOR ROUND TWO?

Season 2 of Wednesday premieres August 6 and September 3 on Netflix. So sharpen your sarcasm, brace for more gothcore glamour, and prepare to get (pleasantly) weird again at Nevermore.
