A COPENHAGEN SUMMER

That same instinctive balance unfolded across the cobblestone streets between shows this season. The polished, effortless formula synonymous with Copenhagen remained, but it felt noticeably looser.

Rather than leaning solely into elevated simplicity and the minimalist model-off-duty aesthetic that has dominated the past decade, designers embraced a greater sense of individuality. Silhouettes were pulled away from the body, proportions became more exaggerated and styling felt deliberately expressive rather than restrained.

Bold colour returned with confidence, playful prints cut through otherwise refined collections and texture emerged as one of the week’s defining conversations. Dimension was layered into fabrics through fringing, ruching, sculptural construction and tactile finishes, signalling a subtle shift in Scandinavian fashion. Minimalism hasn’t disappeared – it has simply become more playful, more personal and far more willing to make a statement.
