A DESTINY WRITTEN IN SCENT

From a young age, Stéphane Rolland held perfume close—not just as a finishing touch, but as an extension of his identity. “In the ’70s, I was testing everything,” he recalls. “Mixing compositions, layering scents… perfume became my cocoon.” Across the years, his scent collection evolved into an altar of self-expression.

At the same time, Anne-Lise Cremona, CEO of Henry Jacques, was carrying forward the legacy of her Maison with elegance and innovation. When she and Rolland met, it wasn’t a typical creative handshake—it was a profound connection. “He was flamboyant, yet disarmingly sensitive,” she says. For Rolland, the memory of their meeting is crystal-clear: “I knew immediately we would create something together.”

Their paths ran parallel for a decade—separate but quietly aligned. In 2025, their mutual admiration evolved into action. The timing was right. The vision was clear. A fragrance would become the medium of their shared truth.

MORE THAN PERFUME—A MANIFESTO

True to their crafts, both Rolland and Cremona resist the fleeting. There are no rules here—only a pursuit of excellence that refuses compromise.

For Cremona, Haute Parfumerie at Henry Jacques is not a metaphor but a mission, mirroring the artistry of Haute Couture itself: bespoke creation, rare materials, and a familial dedication to handwork. Rolland sees the collaboration as deeply personal: “This adventure only exists because it is her, and it is me.”

Their creative alliance isn’t a marketing move—it’s an emotional necessity. “Sometimes, I feel like we are fighters,” Rolland confesses. “We fight for what we believe in.”

CRAFTING SCENT LIKE A GOWN

Designing a fragrance with Henry Jacques felt oddly familiar for Rolland—but also unexpectedly humbling. “I felt like a child learning to read again,” he admits. In the atelier of scent, guided by Cremona’s vision, he began rediscovering himself.

Aromas became memories. Citrus took him back to childhood. Incense evoked temples where his imagination was first awakened. Rose and tobacco pulled him through time and place—from Paris to South America to the Middle East. The final perfume became a self-portrait—unfiltered and magnetic.

“This was the missing element in my expression,” Rolland explains. “Perhaps it was destiny.”

THE FRAGRANCE: EMOTION BOTTLED

The result? A chypre-oriental signature that is unapologetically Stéphane Rolland. It opens with juicy citrus—a nod to mischief in his father’s bar—before being wrapped in sacred incense and grounded by earthy iris and patchouli. Henry Jacques’ Rose de Mai adds elegance, while subtle vanilla, amber, and spice lend it warmth and sensuality.

“Only Henry Jacques possesses the subtlety to execute such intricate details,” says Rolland. “Their refinement is rare, yet their essence remains pure.”

Offered in two exclusive forms—Les Essences, with unmatched concentration and purity, and Les Brumes, a more playful and versatile variation—this fragrance encapsulates everything this partnership stands for: tradition, innovation, and emotion.

Available from July 9th exclusively in Henry Jacques boutiques, the fragrance is priced at €1975 (VAT included).
