The art of movement in nature and fashion styling are inextricably related because they both value change, fluidity, and the inherent rhythm of existence.
Style can improve the visual narrative by combining aspects of nature, like wind, water, and landscapes, which allow clothing to flow naturally and harmonize with the environment.
Natural settings offer a dynamic stage in which movement becomes a crucial component of the style, bringing the clothes to life and capturing the carefree beauty of the surroundings. Nature and fashion combine to produce a smooth fusion of expression, motion, and art.
SPLENDOR BY MARTA ELENA VASSILAKIS
“My inspiration for this fashion editorial came from having seen a location called Point Mugu located a bit north of Malibu. Mugu Rock is a very large rock formation that on one side is covered entirely in black rock and on the other side overlooks the ocean.
It is extremely windy up there and I chose this spot for that reason. I wanted the model’s hair to be wind-blown throughout the shoot as well as show movement in the styling.
The result is quite simple yet fluid with grace and flow.”
