Series to Catch Up on After Ramadan

5 shows you'll regret not watching once they started airing

Ramadan came and ended in the blink of an eye, and we welcomed Eid with joyful hearts, bidding farewell to it before we could fully feel its presence. With it, we turned the page on a season filled with dramatic works that adorned the Ramadan evenings. While some were glued to their TV screens throughout the month, eagerly watching all the streaming series,, others were caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and couldn’t indulge in the Ramadan dramas. If you were among those who got lost in the shuffle, here are the top series we recommend watching.

ASHGHAL SHAQA

This situational comedy delivers fifteen episodes of humorous situations faced by Hamdi and his wife Yasmin after welcoming twins and attempting to cope with the changes.

The series stars Egyptian actors Hesham Maged and Asmaa Galal, the series also featured guest appearances by artists like Intisar, Inaam Salousa, Mai Kassab, and Noha Abdeen, adding a light-hearted touch to the show.

GAWDAR – ALF LEILA WA LEILA

Tell me, Scheherazade, tell Shahryar… Just seeing the trailer for “Goudar” brings back memories of “Alf Layla Wa Layla” (One Thousand and One Nights) with its unique music and the voice of singer Samira Said. But this time, with captivating visual effects and an engaging story that drew us in just as Shahryar, the king of time, was drawn in.

The series stars Egyptian actor Yasser Galal and actress Yasmin Raees.

BEDOON SABIQ ENZAR

The name says it all. The series premiered in the second half of Ramadan, grabbing our attention and hearts without prior notice. We delve into a saga of emotions, living with Marwan and Leila, whose relationship deteriorates to a point of no return, especially when their son is diagnosed with cancer.

The series stars Egyptian actor Asser Yassin, Tunisian actress Aisha Ben Ahmed, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, and Jihad Hassouna.

MASAR EGBARI

Fate leads Ali and Hussein down the same path, forcing them to walk together. Along the way, we uncover a relationship between brothers that creates a family atmosphere we haven’t seen on screen in many years.

The series stars Egyptian young talents Essam Omar and Ahmed Dash, along with veteran actress Sabreen, Basma,  and Yasmina El Abd.

These series offer a diverse range of genres and stories, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy even after Ramadan has ended.
