Here’s a closer look at the inspirations behind the season’s standout womenswear shows:

Structured silhouettes, metallic accents, and technical fabrics redefined power dressing, balancing utility with a minimalist, modern elegance.

BLUMARINE

Nicola Brognano leaned into Y2K nostalgia once again, this time blending romanticism with rebellion.

Inspired by gothic fairy tales, the collection featured lace slips, butterfly motifs, and tough leather contrasts, conjuring a vision of sultry femininity.

TOD’S

Tod’s presented a collection inspired by Italian ease and timeless craftsmanship. Soft leather tailoring, earth-toned palettes, and utilitarian accents reflected a refined casualness rooted in practicality yet elevated by artisanal detail.

ELISABETTA FRANCHI

Elisabetta Franchi celebrated glamour and cinematic drama. Inspired by Old Hollywood divas, the lineup featured figure-hugging gowns, sequins, and plunging necklines, creating a vision of unapologetic sensuality.

THE ATTICO

Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini leaned into sensual glamour for The Attico. Inspired by nocturnal energy and high-octane femininity, the collection fused sequined minis, sharp tailoring, and slinky dresses, channeling confidence and seduction.

FERRARI

Ferrari continued to merge automotive heritage with fashion-forward design. Inspired by velocity and precision engineering, the collection showcased aerodynamic cuts, glossy fabrics, and bold reds, echoing the adrenaline of speed and luxury.

ERMANNO SCERVINO

Ermanno Scervino celebrated feminine delicacy with a collection inspired by intimacy and elegance. Lace, chiffon, and intricate embroidery highlighted the craftsmanship, while tailoring added structure, balancing softness with strength.

FERRAGAMO

Maximilian Davis drew on the Italian coastline for inspiration, fusing sensual draping with sculptural tailoring.

Sandy neutrals, sea-glass tones, and sleek leather pieces conveyed a dialogue between nature and urban sophistication.

LUISA SPAGNOLI

Luisa Spagnoli offered a romantic vision of summer inspired by gardens in bloom. Floral prints, flowing dresses, and delicate textures created a feminine and timeless collection that celebrated both beauty and ease.

DOLCE&GABBANA

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana revisited their Sicilian roots. Inspired by sensual Mediterranean women, the show featured corsetry, lace, and polka dots alongside bold black-and-white tailoring, paying homage to the brand’s quintessential DNA.

BOTTEGA VENETA

The new creative director brought a fresh perspective to Bottega Veneta, deepening the house’s exploration of craft and movement.

Inspired by travel and transformation, the collection showcased artisanal leatherwork, trompe l’oeil techniques, and fluid silhouettes, reaffirming Bottega’s position at the forefront of quiet luxury.

HUI

Hui Zhou Zhao celebrated cultural heritage, blending Chinese artistry with Italian craftsmanship. Inspired by traditional motifs and modern fluidity, the collection featured intricate embroidery, soft tailoring, and layered silhouettes.

CALCATERRA

Calcaterra leaned into architectural minimalism, inspired by urban landscapes and natural light. The collection emphasized clean lines, monochromatic palettes, and sculptural volumes, reflecting an aesthetic of meditative simplicity.

GIORGIO ARMANI

Closing the week with quiet grandeur, Giorgio Armani delivered a collection inspired by water and fluidity.

Shimmering silks, soft blues, and flowing shapes evoked serenity, underscoring Armani’s timeless devotion to elegance and poise.

With both parts of Milan Fashion Week SS26 wrapped, the season proves once again that Italian fashion thrives on duality, balancing heritage with innovation, romance with rebellion, and timelessness with reinvention.
