At the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony, football stars Rodrigo Hernández Cascante and Aitana Bonmatí were each honored with the prestigious award, with their trophies presented in custom Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunks.
To mark the event, Louis Vuitton dressed both Bonmatí, a player for FC Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Warren Zaïre-Emery, a Friend of the House.
Warren Zaïre-Emery donned a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt, black bowtie, and derbies, while Aitana Bonmatí wore an elegant white cady and silk dress detailed with gray rhinestone embroidery, paired with black satin sandals, a Pico GO-14 bag, and Galaxie Monogram earrings from Louis Vuitton’s High Jewelry collection.
For the second year running, Louis Vuitton crafted the Ballon d’Or Trophy Trunks in partnership with France Football, with this year’s edition gaining support from UEFA.
The trunks, handmade at Louis Vuitton’s Asnières workshops, feature the House’s iconic Monogram canvas, gold-accented V motifs symbolizing both “Victory” and “Vuitton,” and intricate brass details that pay homage to Louis Vuitton’s historic craftsmanship.
The interiors are lined with black microfiber and embroidered with the Ballon d’Or logo, underscoring Louis Vuitton’s legacy of excellence and its connection to prestigious sporting events.
Through this collaboration, the House celebrates the motto “Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton,” blending the worlds of sport and luxury.
