For Sophia, one of the most unforgettable moments of her career so far has been landing her first big role in Hepta. “It was my first audition, and getting the role felt like a dream,” she recalls. “The whole filming process, the premiere, and walking the red carpet for the first time at such a young age—it was overwhelming but one of the best days of my life.” The excitement of seeing her face on posters and hearing the praise from fans of the book the movie was based on was a surreal experience for the young actress. “I was scared, but so happy that so many people loved the movie,” she adds.
LOOKING AHEAD: DREAM ROLES AND BIOPICS
With such a promising start to her career, Sophia has big dreams for the future. “I want to play characters who are polar opposites of me,” she says, revealing her desire to step into roles that challenge her and push her acting skills to new heights. “I want roles that carry a message, something people can relate to and feel deeply.”
When asked which famous person she would love to portray in a biopic, Sophia’s answer is deeply personal. “I would love to play Faten Hamama,” she shares. “I admire her story, her legacy in Arabic cinema, and everyone tells me I have the same smile as hers, so maybe it’s meant to be.”
EXCITING PROJECTS ON THE HORIZON
Sophia’s schedule is packed with exciting projects. She is currently filming the third season of Kamel El Adad, a project she is “very, very excited for.” In addition, she is working on a special series called 220 Days, which holds a special place in her heart. “It’s a really nice project, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.” And while she remains tight-lipped about an upcoming short film she’s filming, Sophia promises it will be “very nice” and worth the wait.
