This season is a colorful winter where Powder Pink rises as an unexpected contender

In a season traditionally ruled by oxblood, charcoal, and cobalt’s, Fall/Winter 2025 is making room for a hue only few expected: powder pink.

Soft, serene, and whisper-light, it’s the coolest color in the cold season, a pastel reimagined with grown-up intention. Gone are the days of barbie-core, today is a day of ballet-core.

SOFT POWER

Designers across New York, Milan, and Paris have embraced powder pink not as a “pretty” accent but as a statement of restraint and refinement.

Instead of sugary frills, FW25 brings sharply tailored suits in muted rose, as seen at Chanel, sculptural knitwear in warm blush, as seen in Daniela Gregis, and leather trenches awash in a delicate frost of pink, as seen at Fendi.

The palette feels modern, almost architectural: soft in color, strong in silhouette.

FROM BALLET-CORE TO BOARDROOM

This season’s pink owes some of its influence to the lingering ballet-core movement, but it’s far more elevated than its predecessors.

Picture matte wool coats in feather-light blush, structured midi skirts with a satin sheen, and boxy cropped jackets layered over tonal cashmere.

Accessories shift into metallic rose, adding a new kind of neutral that blends easily into any winter wardrobe. Designers are pairing the shade with greige, stone, and espresso brown, proving powder pink can be as versatile as camel.

TEXTURE IS EVERYTHING

FW25 plays with the tension between softness and structure. Powder pink velvet, once a holiday cliché, returns as a minimalist evening material, its sheen dialed down for a cooler, more sophisticated effect.

Bouclé jackets, faux fur shrugs, brushed mohair knits, and ultra-matte leather all demonstrate how texture can illuminate the color’s depth and subtlety.

WHO’S WEARING IT

The street-style crowd has already embraced the trend. Oversized blush scarves drape over charcoal coats, ballet-pink trousers are styled with masculine boots, and monochrome pink suiting appears outside show venues.

Off-duty models gravitate toward powder-pink ribbed knit sets, proving the shade’s comfort-first appeal.

HOW TO WEAR IT

Wear it monochrome by layering varying tones from shell to rose quartz for a modern, sculptural effect.

Use neutrals like black for sharp contrast or warm browns for a softer approach. Let a single powder-pink statement piece, such as a coat, update an entire wardrobe.

Combining matte knitwear with satin or leather introduces a sense of polish and dimension.

MOOD OF THE SEASON

Ultimately, powder pink in FW25 embodies the cultural shift toward calm luxury: a color that feels intimate, soothing, and quietly confident.

It doesn’t demand attention; it earns it. In a season rich with expressive textures and moodier palettes, powder pink stands out precisely because it whispers.
