Ferragamo and Porsche have joined forces in a special partnership to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Porsche Italia, bringing together two legendary figures in design and workmanship.
As a result, Porsche Exclusive Manufactur created two unique automobiles, the Taycan 4S and the 911 Carrera 4 GTS, which were only available in Italy.
The most notable aspect of this partnership is the incorporation of the Blusogno color, a deep, vibrant blue that delicately turns violet in the presence of sunshine.
The color has a dreamy character that evokes emotion and Italian finesse. It was previously used in Ferragamo’s ready-to-wear collections and on the leather of the renowned Hug bag.
Delicate white lines that accentuate the vehicles’ aerodynamic features add refinement to the exterior design. Paldao wood and soft leather finishes heighten the interior features, including the GT sports steering wheel, center console, and other interior components, which all feature the distinctive Blusogno design. The seats are highlighted by white leather piping, which adds Italian fashion sophistication to Porsche’s streamlined design.
In keeping with Ferragamo’s history hue, the wheels are likewise painted in Blusogno, hand-detailed with white pinstriping, and centered by a red Porsche crest.
A specially made car cover in matching blue with white piping, the Porsche emblem on the front, and Ferragamo’s signature on the sides completes the personalized ensemble.
Design quality, artisanal mastery, and a visionary spirit constitute the foundation of the partnership. Known as the “Shoemaker of Dreams,” Salvatore Ferragamo started his career in Hollywood before moving back to Florence in 1927 to establish a reputation for luxury and creativity.
Similar to this, Ferry Porsche realized his aim in 1948 when he created the 356 No. 1 Roadster, which launched a name that is now associated with prestige and performance.
“We wanted to make as few changes as possible for this special anniversary, concentrating instead on elegant, well-considered details,” said Leonardo Ferragamo, Chairman of Ferragamo. “Porsche is flawless already.”
“This collaboration was born from a shared belief in timeless design, meticulous craftsmanship, and the courage to innovate,” Pietro Innocenti, CEO of Porsche Italia, continued. We have developed something that is firmly anchored in the dream-driven philosophy that has led us for forty years in collaboration with Ferragamo and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in Zuffenhausen. As we proceed, this spirit will keep us motivated.”
