This thematic focus highlighted PatBO’s signature blend of vibrant motifs and intricate details, celebrating nature’s exuberance and elegance.
MICHAEL KORS
Inspired by Mediterranean romance, 1990s minimalism, and the enduring allure of Patricia Highsmith’s The Talented Mr. Ripley, Michael Kors’s SS25 collection presents a unique fusion of aesthetics.
Kors blends artisanal craftsmanship with modern design, featuring hand-embroidered denim skirts, leather belts, and lace skirts.
His designs combine vintage sensuality with contemporary joyfulness, incorporating playful raffia details and versatile silhouettes that merge elegance with everyday wearability.
LUAR
Designer Raul López’s early years in the late 1990s and early 2000s served as inspiration for the Luar Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which debuted at New York Fashion Week.
López sought to combine his upbringing in the punk and art movements of downtown New York with his Dominican family’s Brooklyn upbringing. With dramatic forms like giant leather coats and sculptural hoods, the outcome was a daring blend of rebellion and structure that combined punk with elegance.
Wearable pieces, such as fitness sets and high-waisted pants, were also included in the collection, all based on a rebellious yet joyful vibe.
MERUERT TOLEGEN
Meruert Tolegen drew inspiration for her Spring/Summer 2025 design at New York Fashion Week from her early recollections, especially from her time spent in her grandparents’ rose garden.
The collection’s whimsical yet exquisite motifs convey a sense of playfulness and nostalgia. Tolegen’s imaginative use of materials and minute details, such as hand-knit pieces and fabric layering, combine elements of her upbringing in the United States with her Kazakh ancestry.
