“There isn’t a competition between the two,” she says. “What one leaves unsaid, the other speaks.”

Rather than existing as separate careers, music and acting have become complementary languages. Acting allows her to imagine the people she could become, while music anchors her in the person she already is.

“It’s like I’m exploring who I could be through acting and grounding myself in who I am through singing.”

“Don’t be afraid to fail. Trust your instinct. Get more personal. Explore more. Stop worrying. It’ll be okay.”

It is advice that feels as relevant to creativity as it does to life itself.

Awards, streams, and recognition inevitably fade. What matters more, Donia believes, is what remains with people after the music ends.

“I hope people remember someone who touched their heart, tried to stay true to themselves, cared deeply, and stayed real through it all.”
