Huda El Mufti returns to the screen as a new character in the upcoming series A Date with the Past (Maw’id Ma’ El Mady) which has already garnered much public attention and piqued collective interest. The series will be available to watch on Netflix, in which the teaser has shown that Huda assumes the pivotal role in the show. Her death is greatly debated and the question is whether she died naturally in a drowning accident or by premeditated murder.

Huda El Mufti costars in A Date with the Past with a huge cast of estimable actors. Among them is the renowned Mahmoud Hemeida, Asser Yassin, Saba Mubarak, Shereen Reda, Sherif Salama, Mohamed Alaa, Rakeen Saad, Mohamed Tharwat, and Mahmoud Gomaa.
A Date with the Past is inspired by the Mexican show, Who Killed Sara? which can be classified as a murder mystery. It was released in three seasons from March of 2021 to May of 2022. According to the statements made by the Syrian director Sadeer Massoud, the events of A Date with the Past are going to be completely different from the Mexican show. Instead, the director chose to loosely take inspiration from the general premise of the Mexican show and add a realistic Arabic touch that is true to our reality in his own version.
