Renowned Lebanese actress Carmen Bsaibes is making a stylish return to Egyptian cinema, joining the cast of the upcoming film “When the Cat’s Away” (إن غاب القط), alongside leading man Asser Yassin.

The film brings together a dynamic lineup of talents, including Asmaa Galal, Mohamed Shahin, Aly Sobhy, and screen legend Samah Anwar, promising a bold and engaging cinematic experience.
Written by Ayman Wattar and directed by rising filmmaker Sara Noah, “When the Cat’s Away” is produced by Kay Oh Pictures, and is already creating buzz as one of the most anticipated films of the season.
This marks Bsaibes’ first major Egyptian film role since 2021’s “Al Aref”, where she starred alongside Ahmed Ezz, Ahmed Fahmy, Mostafa Khater, and Mahmoud Hemida. That film, written by Mohamed Sayed Bashir and directed by Ahmed Alaa El Deeb, was a box office hit and a turning point in Bsaibes’ cross-border career.
With her signature grace and emotional depth, Carmen Bsaibes continues to captivate audiences across the Arab world — and “When the Cat’s Away” is shaping up to be another chic milestone in her rising filmography.
