As the first half of Ramadan comes to a close with many 15-episode series wrapping up yesterday, we’re left with a sense of emptiness, unsure of what the second half will bring. While we bid farewell to the characters we’ve come to love, we can’t help but celebrate the actors and actresses who have delivered truly unforgettable performances. Here are our top 5 standout performances from the first half of Ramadan!
-
DIAB- ALBY W MOFTAHO
Diab truly owned the role of Assad. He nailed the villainous character just as he should. We may have hated Assad throughout the series, but it’s no secret that we loved how Diab portrayed him—and, lowkey, we didn’t want him to end up in jail in the finale. You know the famous line, “The eyes, Chico?” That perfectly applies to Diab. He has the power to convey a thousand words and endless emotions with just one look. So, yes, Diab is officially crowned the ultimate villain of this Ramadan.
-
ENTSAR- 80 BAKO
For us, it feels like Entsar has always been a beauty salon owner. Entsar isn’t just a regular actress; she seamlessly blends into her roles and becomes them. We loved every second of Lola on screen.
-
AHMED MALEK & TAHA DESOUKY- WELAD ELSHAMS
Rest in peace, Moftah—we haven’t stopped sobbing since. But how could we choose between them? Both Ahmed Malek (Wel’aa) and Taha Desouky (Moftah) captivated our hearts in Welad ElShams. This friendship will forever stay in our hearts, never to leave.
-
GIHAN EL SHAMASHERGY- EKHWATY
Yes, a pretty face can earn you fame. But to be both beautiful and talented, you can’t be anyone other than Gihan El Shamashergy. Her portrayal of Nagla has resonated with many on a deeply personal level. The series overall might have been a bit underrated this season, but El Shamashergy’s role as Nagla ensured that the character got the attention and hype it deserved.
-
YOUSSEF OMAR- KAMEL EL ADAD++
Aly is undoubtedly the ultimate bad boy of Ramadan 2025. We’ve all encountered a version of Youssef Omar in Kamel El Addad++ at some point in our lives. They say that if a character really gets under your skin, it’s a sign that the actor has truly nailed the role. And let’s be honest, Omar had us all convinced he could be a real-life fuckboy, didn’t he? Oops.
We can’t wait to see what the second-half series will bring to the table. Stay tuned!
