It’s that time of the year again and it has always been my favorite, Paris Fashion Week! Nothing beats the combination of the most beautiful clothes, beautiful crowd and beautiful weather.
My first day started with a backstage visit at Dior for an interview with Peter Philipps, creative and image director at Dior Makeup, for a first glance at the looks we were about to see on the runway at Musée Rodin.
After sharing a few insights, including how to get that wonderful glow, that is the ‘must have skin trend’ of the season, it was off to Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika’s show.
The designer chose the stunning Hotel Pozzo di Borgo on the Rue de l’Université in Paris, that had been Karl Lagerfeld‘s primary residence for almost 30 years. In attendance of the show were two of our favorite celebrities, Nelly Karim and Ghada Abdelrazek. Stay tuned for the full collection recap.
Back at Dior for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s take on Dior’s Fall/Winter 2024/25, the show was packed with stars from JLO, Natalie Portman, Rosemund Pike, to Razan Jamal, rubbing shoulders with the beautiful crowd of loyal clients who adored the collection inspired by the arrival of the Olympic Games to Paris.
While sister Venus graced the front-row at Dior, Serena Williams was spotted supporting fellow American Thom Browne as he took his commitment to re-contextualizing classic tailoring further into the realm of haute couture with a collection mostly in white.
Lebanese designer Tony Ward had his flock of clients grace the inside and gardens of Hotel Potocki. Egyptian celebrities in attendance included Jamila Awad, Nelly Karim and Farah El Dibany. A quick glimpse backstage with Tony who titled his latest collection Rebirth of Nymphs was involved.
My last stop of the day was the Paris book launch of Caftans: From Classical to Camp by dear Cameron Silver at the Galignani bookstore, a Paris institution.
Stay tuned for detailed coverages of the best shows and tomorrows recap of day 2 of Paris Haute Couture week.
