My second day at Paris Haute Couture week started with a visit to the Dior Cruise 2025 presentation that was recently presented in Scotland. On show checks in various colors such as purple, red or yellow for day and pearls and velvet for night, plenty of studs for new bags and the bright and fun new Miss Dior Capsule Cruise collection that was right up my alley!
Alexis Mabille invited us to the Lido which he recently redecorated. In front of a packed house, complete with champagne on the tables, his collection had the befitting finale of a performance by none other than Dita Von Teese inside a giant crystal studded champagne glass, caught on camera with my dear friend Diane Pernet.
From the Lido straight to yet another theatre, Salle Pleyel where French couturier Stephane Rolland sent his magic on the stage. Egyptian actresses Nelly Karim and Ghada Abdel Razek dressed in Stephane Rolland HC SS24 were among the many international stars in attendance.
My afternoon and evening was dedicated to Van Cleef & Arpels who invited us to discover the new impressive premises of L’Ecole and a fabulous exhibition of jewelry and objets d’art that trace the Maison’s history, including the priceless diamond colliers commissioned for Princess Fawzia of Egypt and patrimony pieces inspired by Ancient Egypt.
There’s no better way to end the day than an intimate dinner hosted by the French jeweler at Madame Reve!
Stay tuned for my recap of day 3!
