Balenciaga’s limited-edition Racing Series honors the high-octane world of formula racing, which will make a bold premiere in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This special collection combines motorsport-inspired motifs with Balenciaga’s typical avant-garde style.
The revelation begins with a preview event on November 27th at the Balenciaga Dubai Mall store, followed by the actual debut on December 3rd at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island.
Key pieces in the collection include the Unity Sports Icon Racer Jacket, T-shirt, and Zip-Up Hoodie, which come in an exclusive yellow and black hue. Each piece bears the Unity Sports Icon emblem, a tribute to Balenciaga’s contemporary take on sporting branding that effortlessly combines technical design with luxury fashion.
The series also includes two sculptures peculiar to the region, made in conjunction with renowned Japanese artist Showichi Kaneda. The sculptures, inspired by Kaneda’s Human’s Own series, feature hammerhead shark-like formula racing vehicles that represent speed, survival, and advancement.
These one-of-a-kind pieces will be displayed separately—one in red and white at Dubai Mall beginning November 27th and the other in green, white, and black at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island beginning December 3rd.
Kaneda’s sculptures, made from hand-refined 3D-printed components and finished in polyester resin, demonstrate careful craftsmanship.
