“Music has always had a profound influence in my life, and hip hop, in particular, has provided a unique outlet for my creativity,” Adeeb shares with ELLE. “This single is an expression of my journey, the hurdles I’ve overcome, and the pride I take in my achievements. It’s about pushing boundaries, embracing challenges, and celebrating one’s hard-fought victories.”
Working with one of the industry’s most exciting producers, Lecha, Adeeb has developed a sound that is distinctly her own. She expertly blends Arabic pop with hip-hop elements and a contemporary flair, bringing a fresh perspective that promises to resonate both regionally and beyond.
“Kart Ma7roo2 was a personal challenge for me, to identify my limiting beliefs, and push myself to work on my skills to achieve my goals,” Adeeb goes on. “I thought I couldn’t sing because I didn’t have the best voice. I then worked on that skill set and put in the time to be able to produce and perform this track. This is something I will keep, being able to spot my own limiting beliefs, and I will never shy away from being caught trying. I showed up for myself, no embarrassment, and I hope this track inspires others as it inspired me.”
