1) Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 (Sept. 3 on Netflix)
The second half of Wednesday’s sophomore season picks up right where the midseason cliffhanger left us: Wednesday Addams caught in the crossfire of a new stalker/taunter at Nevermore. And yes, it’s said the Queen of Pop Lady Gaga is going to make her highly anticipated cameo as Rosaline Rotwood. Expect Part 2 to cement Wednesday as Netflix’s crown jewel of supernatural shows.
2) The Girlfriend (Sept. 10 on Prime Video)
Robin Wright stars in this six episode psychological thriller based on Michelle Frances’s bestselling novel. The story follows a mother whose idyllic family life unravels when her son brings home a new girlfriend who seems perfect, maybe too perfect. What begins as maternal suspicion spirals into obsession and paranoia, blurring the line between protector and saboteur. Prime is dropping the series all at once, making it perfect for an all day binge.
3) The Runarounds (Sept. 1 on Prime Video)
Prime kicks off September with a coming of age dramedy that channels both Daisy Jones & The Six and TikTok’s viral energy. The Runarounds follows a band of teens chasing stardom while navigating messy friendships, heartbreaks, and the perils of early fame.
4) Highest 2 Lowest (Sept. 5 on Apple TV+)
Spike Lee and Denzel Washington’s Highest 2 Lowest marks their fifth collaboration, and their most ambitious yet. A contemporary riff on Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 masterpiece High and Low, the film relocates the story of a wealthy executive entangled in a kidnapping case to modern day New York City.
5) House of Guinness (Sept. 25 on Netflix)
From Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight comes an eight part dynastic saga tracing the rise and scandals of the Guinness brewing empire. Set across Dublin and New York in the 19th century, House of Guinness dramatizes the family’s triumphs and betrayals with the same grit and cinematic flair Knight brought to the Shelbys.
